Review:
This is the winning biopic about how King George VI, father of Queen Elizabeth II, a stuttering problem. Widely considered all but his father unfit to be king, George reluctantly thrust to the throne and into the spotlight after his brother is forced to warp ; the description. Strong as Adolph Hitler and Benito Mussolini Shadow depend on the international stage and family, the King of the help of so-called speech Australian professionals named Lionel Logue his voice and boldly lead his people in the greatest war mankind has ever faced. This is a story hilarious and deeply moving powerfully, told against the backdrop of this important point in modern history, the emergence of a working relationship deep friendship between the two ; people who would never otherwise interact socially. , Is excellent: a script written by David Seidler (Dream Man and also wrote Tucker). Dry British wit is hilarious. I was literally slapping my knee during some scenes. Tom Hooper (Elizabeth I) have an excellent job leading the film. Buildup climactic finale is skillfully executed and resulted in selective ones audience applause. (Apparently, this was also at Roy Thomson Hall premiere.) Geoffrey Rush (Elizabeth: The Golden Age) doing a great job as Lionel Logue and Colin Firth (A Single Man) as King George is the best cause VI.I second public screening of this film at Ryerson Theater during the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Tom Hooper was there to introduce the film. He was joined by Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush after the movie ended with a short Q & A.It turns out that stuttering problem as a child David Seidler also drew inspiration from the struggle of kings. Earlier in his life he wanted to write a screenplay about it. She dutifully asked the Queen Mother for permission. He agreed but told her not in my life. Little did he know that he would live to be 101 and that he would wait another 30 years.Another interesting tidbit we learned was near the end of the shoot, the team has finally located one Lionel analogues of grandchildren, who just happened to live 10 minutes away from the director. They got access to the diaries and correspondence Lionels and managed to incorporate some film script. This unqualified to be seen.
